Anyone man enough to call themselves a lucky buckaroo ("I am just to be seen with you") has got a foot in the door. Geoff Berner is that man. A folkie by any generation standard, Berner has a way with words, delivers them with a pleasant lilt, and plays some soothing accordion to boot. One minute he's lamenting the French in World War Two ("Maginot Line"), then he's lamenting his "Porn Queen Girlfriend" relationship. An acerbic wit and some fine musical interplay make this an obvious choice for yer next stroll to the music shop.
