Brazzaville have already released a bunch of records - who knew? That's why they've released this introductory compilation that samples said releases, and now we can all breathe a little easier. Whew: catching up with such a swanky band couldn't be more fun. As the name suggests, there's a definite bossa nova South American flavour to be tasted here. Carefree, summer breezy tunes never get old, and who can complain about fifteen such sumptuous numbers? A couple of uppity moments help the flow, but it is the lush, steamy jazz lounge tunes that make this record sparkle. Another round, cabin boy!
