Ian Tyson's always been a prairie cowboy kinda guy, and rolling tumbleweed tunes just come naturally. This is porch rockin' material perfect for lazy orange sunsets: steady tortoise pace melodies with the warm Tamblyn voice rambling through not so wild west tales. It's one of his best. Alberta oil rigs, farmers praying for rain, the passing of dogs: it's old time material that just never gets old. For those who call horses ponies, and warm their java over an open fire.
