Uh-oh, it had to happen. After some smashing records for the small set, They Might Be Giants have finally crossed the line. And yes it is a fine line, entertaining wide eared toddlers (who soak everything up) and their jaded parental units (who soak their peers). Yes there's some fun stuff here, as the Johns mix irreverent humour with cartoony melodies, but the pace and energy are just a bit much for an entire lesson. The kids may learn to spell, but Mommy will be reaching for her little helper that much faster.
