MARY TIMONY
Mountains (Matador)

Just where Mary Timony is going is anybody's guess. With a record that is delicate, beautiful
and lyrically absurd, Timony would be a good fit for the Woodstock generation (the original
one). A bizarre synth pulse in "The Bell" will surely tempt the hippie gods into a spastic
circle dance of euphoria. Whatever direction the music takes (lets call it folk okay?), Timony
is worth a close listen as I suspect she is only toying with us mere mortals.
