MICROBUNNY
self-titled (self-released)
Reviewed by John Sekerka
Hop hop, trip hop. A belated Easter treat you may wanna keep away from the kiddies, Microbunny is a music equivalent of a foot and a half chocolate hare. Dark and sweet, quite addictive, and primed for an overdose. Yummy beats, the all important sex whisper female vocal, and just the right amount of startling musical intrusions from left field. Al Okada forges ahead with the dub experiments that his former band, King Cobb Steelie, were perfecting. Great aural candy, yet missing the hook that would elevate it past a pleasant memory down the road.
