Remixing the mixer - touché. Seventeen different splicers dissect DJ Spooky's Optometry record in excellent fashion. Not just another DJ wankfest, this project invites dub masters Lee Scratch Perry and Mad Professor along, as well as media corruptors Negativland. A bit dizzying at times, but diverse enough never to lag. A nice detour in the ever evolving blue series, which at this pace may leave all jazz tendencies behind.
