Noisy, caustic, angry dark metal record with loud, unintelligible vocals and gentle guitar interludes in between walls of pounding static, squealing lead guitar, thudding percussion and droning bass lines. I especially like how some of the songs are punctuated by static-filled screams that sound as though someone's repetitively stomping on the vocalist's foot in time with the music. Of course, there's lots of death imagery on the jacket, with dog skeletons superimposed against the cover and a lyric sheet that reveals that the band is actually singing about bad relationships and Armageddon, and not how much it hurts to touch a hot stove without proper protection, like I had originally guessed.
