JAMIROQUAI
2001 - A Funk Odyssey (Epic)

2001: A Funk Odyssey is the fifth album by Jamiroquai and if you haven't been eagerly awaiting this one, well, your feet must be flat and your ass must be made of lead. Jamiroquai frontman Jay Kay has blended a near perfect concoction of pop, funk and kickass dance beats for your movin' and groovin' pleasure.

There's a dose of his patented social consciousness, odes to love both pure and conflicted and simple summons to party like it's 2001, all served up in old skool style. That means dance music in a pre-techno groove, with bubbling bass, boiling guitar and butt-bumping drums.

Hey, you, the one in the corner with the flat feet and the lead butt. Yeah, you. You, too, should try this one on for size. It's time to get your groove thing on, buddy, and as Jay Kay puts it so well on track one, crank this puppy up and you'll find that it's automatic and it feels so good.

Feels So Good * Little L * You Give Me Something * Corner Of The Earth * Love Foolosophy * Stop! Don't Panic * Black Crow * Main Vein * 2001 * Picture Of My Life * So Good To Feel Real * Do It Like We Used To Do
