Surviving ten years as an indie label is something to celebrate. That's what this CD is all about, and if you're familiar with Vancouver, BC, Canada's Mint Records, you'll want in on the celebration. It's the home - spiritual and otherwise - of Neco Case & Her Boyfriends, Huevos Rancheros, The Evaporators, Duotang, The Smugglers, The New Pornographers, I Am Spoonbender and several others. This 23 song compilation gives a great overview for the newcomer to the Mint vibe and is just great fun (and value at about 10 bucks for 72 minutes of killer rock and roll). The way indie labels come and go today, it's a real pleasure to celebrate a success story like Mint. And this celebration comes with its own party music.
