MOUNT SIMS
Ultra Sex (Emperor Norton)

Reviewed by John Sekerka

The future of music is technosex, or so I'm told. Mount Sims, besides having a side-splitting double entendre of a name, is dedicated to modern Eros, a combination of music, art and sex. Sounds good, should be no problem getting others on board. Ostracized from the great Midwest for doing unspeakable things (publicly of course) to a speaker, Mount Sims wound up walking runways in L.A. The sexy beats and glamour turned his music vision around, and presto, we have "Ultra Sex," a steady pulsing bit of electronica spiced with carnal vocals. Catchy stuff, more suited for martini style lounging than hot sweaty nights on the dance-floor. Apparently the live show features outlandish go-go girls. Mount Sims has all the bases covered.
