More vintage Cleveland punk from the vaults (and you thought the Indians were the only game in town). The New Creatures were a snotty teenage trio who recorded sporadically and are more known for being the starting point of a coupla Guided By Voices members. "Media Brainwash" is a very early and very rough (direct to the soundboard) recording from '84 showcasing a talented unit spewing decent musical angst in spite of limited recording facilities. Fast forward to '88: Penelope Flowers shows a mature band inflicting psychedelic touches on their wigout punk rock, encroaching on and predating by several years the heavy jam edge of stoner rock. As a bonus there's a seven track live gig tacked on.
