ASTRONAUT WIFE
Flying Saucer (Susstones)
Reviewed by Holly Day
Pretty vapid-sounding pop music about space and love and aliens with lots
of special keyboard effects and dancey drum machine beats. Reminds me a lot
of the stuff Madonna was doing 15 years ago, that record with all the songs
about elephants and dolphins and crap. On the plus side, I suppose, the
record is very cleanly recorded and expertly produced (by Polara's Ed
Ackerson), but there's really no excuse in this day and age for albums to
not be recorded well, so that's not much of a compliment.
