DISFEAR
Misanthropic Generation (Relapse Records)

The title is 100% spot on, unfortunately. And
Tomas Lindberg (formerly of At The Gates) singing
"life on my knees staring at the vultures"
won't make it onto the next snowboarding
commercial, fortunately. This is more than
hardcore. Disfear doesn't know or care much about
the insane speeds or riffing of casual associates
on the same bills, same tours, same label even.
The vulture theme on Misanthropic also
inserts a continuity capable of saddening someone
with the lyrics at hand. Vultures. Can I hear
them circle above the living dead? "Cursed to
live the 9 to 5 struggle for their daily
bread."
