OK, so the patriotic songs are jingoistic, the religious songs are sanctimonious and the humor is corn pone. It's Dolly, for goshsake, and she so obviously means every word she sings and has so much fun telling every old joke she hauls out for this collection that I'm willing to cut her miles of slack.

I mean, it's DOLLY.

Just the same, most folks reading this are likely to prefer her country classics or her more recent bluegrass explorations.

But remember, it's DOLLY!
