I definitely prefer the second half of this CD to the first half, i.e., the Lesser Birds of Paradise tracks. Jared Grabb's voice has this unsettling wobbliness that works okay if you're a fresh-faced kid with a complex, but just seems contrived or untutored in anybody over 18. His two tracks consist of love songs that just don't do it for me simply because I don't like his voice. The Lesser Birds of Paradise also contribute two (kind of) love songs, but theirs are rockin' love songs, catchy, anthemic, and easy for the kids to dance along with. I didn't dance along myself, but it was sure hard to keep the head from bopping along.
