I used to work for Boys Town, so this immediately got my attention just
because there are old postcards from Boys Town splashed on the cover. After listening to the album, I'm not sure what the connection between the cover and the music is, except that the songs are kind of sad and lonely, and a lot of people at Boys Town are sad and lonely. Musically, this album is just wonderful - Mary (no last name listed) has a wonderful, earthy-sounding voice that is perfectly fitted to these acoustic songs that wouldn't sound out of place around a campfire in the middle of nowhere, with the occasional organ and minor percussion thrown in at just the right intervals. My only regret is that this EP has only four songs on it, and I'd love to hear much, much more from this performer.
