The Nadas are a talented four-piece rock band out of Iowa, and their sixth full-length CD, Transceiver, on Authentic Records, should garner the Central Iowa quartet some much-needed and well-deserved national exposure. Like many regional successes, they're an overnight sensation ten years in the making, and Transceiver features songs that range from the upbeat "Feel Better," introspective "To the Edge," and country rock ballad of "Octane." The Nadas' songs are literate, the playing first-class, and they've got some memorable hooks and lyrics. Not a bad combination for a rock band that's making a name for themselves in the Midwest.
