Audio Book: 50 Ways To Love Your Country

Maybe not since the days leading up to the civil war has this nation been so
divided and in such absolute terms, with both sides of the fence spouting such heinous venom. George Bush is parting the nation in ways that would make hard liners in the abolitionist turn green, 140 years after the fight. The American media is seemingly so far gone from objectivism, the tenants of our own founding documents seem strange, the virtues of western democracy hazy at best.
With this having been said, there has never been a time when a book like
MoveOn's 50 Ways to Love Your Country is so important, if only for a convenient reminder that there is something worth arguing for across radio and television hook-ups. MoveOn, an organization either lauded or dubious (depending on how you feel about the infamous Yale graduate) for its determination to oust our president, has assembled voices such as Al Gore, Eli Pariser and others to inspire its audience to action. Already an invaluable book for the progressive front, MoveOn's 50 Ways translates to audio book with exceptional ease. The variety in points of view and voices makes this an almost surefire tool to reignite the idealist in anyone.
