GREAT BIG SEA
Great Big Sea (Zoe)

This is a reissue of the Newfoundland based group's 1993 debut album, and
the roots of the sound that's led to seven more releases which have sold
millions of copies in Canada and around the world are in fine and full
evidence. Mixing original material with the Celtic traditions of their home
province, along with popular selections from Canadian songwriters, Great Big
Sea have worked from a rich folk heritage, but have never been content to be
mired in it.
From their inception, they've applied their strong harmonies and great
instrumental facility to forging something new from old materials, proving
themselves to be something more than fine musicians - they're talented and
dedicated artisans, and this release is a great way to either begin or
complete a collection of their recorded work.
