By now you probably know the score: a new scorching Reverend Horton Heat record means there'll be a live sermon coming down the pike. It's just a warm up of new songs to learn so we can all sing-along at the next hoedown. Was a time when the Reverend mixed it up (lounge, hard rock, even western swing), but that just mixed everyone up, now he just sticks to his rockabilly roots and we all have a swell time. Revival continues the tried and true kick ass sin-rocking that the Reverend does oh so well: songs about cars, women and drink, sometimes all together! Hilarious tales presented with tasty guitar licks; who could ask for more? All them folks yearning for real Americana just need to enter the Revival tent for a dose of the real stuff.
