BOB LOG III
Trike (Fat Possum)

Tit clapping on a record? Among all the bluesy eccentrics on the Fat Possum label, Bob Log III reigns supreme. He's got some stiff competition from the likes of T-Model Ford and Hasil Adkins, but Bob has youth on his side. While his labelmates are all pushing retirement age, Log is a mere pup on the scene. Taking a cue from the Haze, Log plays the crazed hillbilly one man band shtick, though with a strong leaning towards electrified Delta blues. Trike may sound like a blues mangling, but those familiar with the Jon Spencer approach to recording will appreciated the gusto. Fuzzy, harsh, primal and totally engrossing. Did I mention the motorcycle helmet? Best see it for yourself.
