SCREECHING WEASEL
Teen Punks In Heat (Panic Button)

Screeching Weasel are still the band to hear when you're starting to feel punked-out. Like any of their other albums, Teen Punks In Heat will remind you of what's very good about the pop/punk sub-genre; catchy music, lyrics that matter and a killer pop structure that ties it all together perfectly. With new guitarist Phillip Aaron Presley (cooool name) fitting in just fine, Screeching Weasel takes on everyday topics with their trademark no-nonsense approach, kicking out tunes with titles like "You're The Enemy," "Erection" and "Things Seem Fucked Up Today." The wall of guitar smacks the messages home by force, which is exactly what you want at 8 AM when your first cup of coffee has yet to work its magic. Amazing how these guys just keep on going without losing a step. Their philosophy might be exposed on the first track, when they sing "with two outs in the bottom of the ninth, you gotta live your life." Here's to extra innings.
