Sing Along With Drac (Del-Fi)
Reviewed by DJ Johnson
Originally released as DFLP 1213 in September of 1961, Sing Along With Drac is
now on CD. The premise: Dracula speaks parody lyrics with a lounge group behind
him and no audience in front of him. From the blood-red tongue of Drac rolls
such classics as "This Can't Be Blood," "Don't Maim Me," "A Coffin For Sale,"
"Children's Day At The Morgue" and "I Don't Stand A Chance With A Ghost Like
You," among others. Is it any good? It's really bad, but there's a hypnotic
quality to it that's kind of hard to explain. Of course, the last thing you
wanna do is go gettin' all mesmerized around a vampire. I'd have to say that
as a curiosity, it might be worth checking out. Just don't expect to laugh too
hard.
