Like Nick Cave in croon mode, evoking the lounge cool of Scott Walker, Liam McKahey manages to walk a fine line without falling into camp nor boorish self-obsession. Cousteau pull off their serious cabaret with dignity, style and stunning musicianship. Lovely bit of work this.
