Danko Jones is a steamroller. A flamboyant, strutting peacock cranking the mojo meter of sex drenched power trio blues rock. A sharp dressed man with a thundering howl and beefy guitar chops, Jones is on the attack from the get-go. Storming refrains like "if you wanna know how to play the blues / get yourself a woman," leave no doubt where the action is. Hey what year is this anyway? Danko's shtick is actually a breath of fresh smoke through all the clean air polluting bars these days. And yet the new record doesn't offer anything more than his indie EPs, save for a choice slot on the racks at the HMV.
