NEW FOUND GLORY
Sticks And Stones (Drive Thru/MCA)

Reviewed by Shaun Dale

I enjoyed last year's self-titled Drive Thru/MCA debut by Florida's New Found Glory a lot, and I like this one pretty much just as much, for pretty much the same reasons. It there's any problem with this disc, it's just that - there's not much here that isn't largely interchangeable with the last one. Of course, since the last one was a quality example of textbook hooky, poppy punk, that's not bad news for people who enjoy the style. The boys still don't seem to be having a lot of luck in the girl department, they still seem more motivated by fun than fame, and they're still cranking out fine, if familiar, performances. Nothing strikingly original or strikingly profound, but a thoroughly entertaining way to spend an hour of your life.
