Congo master Poncho Sanchez has always slipped in a bit of soul to his Latin tinged jazz offerings, but never has he splashed such a funky rhythm and bluesy cannonball as Out of Sight. With the likes of Billy Preston, Ray Charles and Sam Moore along for the trip you know there's some serious soul searching going on here. He may have some of the JBs along for the groove, but it is Sanchez's thrilling and surprising crack vocal on the James Brown classic title track that burns the house right down to the ground.
