RED LETTER DAY
Chance Meetings: The Best of 1985-99 (Zip)
Reviewed by Alan Wright
I enjoy a lot of music on this label, Zip, but this might be my
fave so far. These guys are absolutely incredible '70s style
punk with some liberal hard rock flavoring. It's like they took
sounds from the Clash, Stiff Little Fingers, Radio Birdman,
Motorhead, the Ramones, Leatherface, AC/DC, Cosmic Psychos and
the U.K. Subs (whose "Limo Life" they cover well), threw 'em in
a blender and came out with this concoction. Their songs are
fueled by tough guitar work and the great vocals of Ade.
