NECRONOMITRON
Necronomitron (Load)
Reviewed by Holly Day
I'd like to think that if I was fourteen, this is the kind of music I'd be
listening to to piss my parents off. It's so crazy and wild and chaotic and
would be just absolutely wonderful to burn off the overload of aggression
that made up so much of who I was when I was a teenager. I'm not sure where
today's teenagers would find something like this, since I've never heard
Necronomitron on the radio or seen this CD in any record stores recently, but
yes, this is what the kids should be listening to. The pounding drums that
change tempo seemingly at will, the almost prog-rock guitar leads with the
bass trailing along for the ride, the occasional screaming falsetto lead
vocals sung in tandem-again, think John Zorn in his "rock" phases-yeah, if
you know any kids looking for an outlet, blow their mind with this.
