IN THIS ISSUE OF COSMIK DEBRIS: Conversations with comic genius and legend Stan Freberg, and Jerry Only of The Misfits. Rusty Pipes takes a look at the new coat of paint on the Yellow Submarine, and Eric Steiner examines the newest new age "thing": music and aromatherapy. Plus columns and, of course, reviews of a ton of CDs in more genres than you can shake a stick at.

Audible Debris COSMIK RADIO: Volume 2 of Cosmik Radio is online for your listening pleasure, and don't forget to tune in on October 25th for the third annual Halloween Thingy. It's our special edition of Cosmik Radio that is all about the music that makes All Hallows Eve great. You just need a RealAudio Player to listen. If you don't have one, go pick one up. Cosmik Radio is just the kind of Net-Only audio that radio station program directors don't want you getting hooked on. So go ahead. Inhale!

STAN FREBERG - One of the greatest comedic minds of the century graces the pages of Cosmik Debris. On the occasion of the release of Tip Of The Freberg, Rhino's 4-CD box set of some of his greatest moments, Stan Freberg discusses a variety of subjects including network sensors and overrated comics. Sacred cows served bloody. Interview by Rusty Pipes.

THE MISFITS - Bassist and band spokesman Jerry Only discusses the second assault on the beach heads of the rock and roll universe. Comics, toys, movies, pro wrestling... These ghouls are certainly poised to once again become famous monsters. Interview by DJ Johnson.

YELLOW SUBMARINE - In the town where I was born... The old yellow boat resurfaces with newly discovered footage in an ultra-high quality form. Article by Rusty Pipes.

NEWEST NEW AGE - We take a look at a new product that combines music with aroma therapy. Article by Eric Steiner.

CD & RECORD REVIEWS - Another huge stack of releases get the Cosmik once-over.

EVERYTHING ELSE IN REVIEW - Where the rest of it lands.

KENNY LOVE'S PERSPECTIVE - A blueprint for failure in the music biz.

CLOSET PHILOSOPHY - with Rusty Pipes: Check your guns at the door and step inside for Rusty's examination this heavily armed society of ours."

PIGSHIT - By Gary Pig Gold: Gary pauses to reflect on Bomp Records' 25th anniversary.

Halloween is my favorite day of the year. Isn't that just a tad disturbing? Always has been my favorite, ever since I saw my first monster flick during a thunderstorm one All Hallows Eve when I was perhaps 7 or 8 years old. Every year, the October issue of Cosmik Debris is geared toward others who get into it as much as I do. In past Halloween issues we've brought you Rob Zombie, Man or Astro-Man, The Cramps, The Boss Martians, The Groovie Ghoulies, and even Space Ghost.

This year we're completely knocked out to bring you one of the most influential bands of the past few decades. The Misfits inspired hundreds of metal AND punk bands and they continue to do so 23 years after they first stepped onto a stage. We hope you enjoy our interview with bassist and walking, talking action figure Jerry Only.

When we found we had the opportunity to talk to Stan Freberg, we decided to break with the "only the scary stuff" tradition of Cosmik Halloween issues because he's a living legend in the world of comedy, and because he's a hero to a lot of us here at Cosmik. And boy, were we ever rewarded for that decision. Freberg is as much fun talking off the cuff as he is on record. Be sure to catch Rusty Pipes' interview with an American icon. Wait.. Swiss... that way we don't offend anybody.

We hope you enjoy the 53rd issue of Cosmik Debris. See you next month.
