SOUNDTRACK
Scooby-Doo! & The Witch's Ghost (Rhino)

Scooby-Doo fans may or may not be excited about hearing Billy Ray Cyrus sing the Scooby theme song "Scooby-Doo, Where Are You?," but he does a credible job of it on this soundtrack from the new feature length video, out in time to deliver a Halloween treat to fans of Scooby, Shaggy & co.

The album itself is what it is - a professionally played, professionally produced collection of straight ahead pop-rock. There are a few extra songs thrown in with the soundtrack tunes to round out the selection, and the best of them feature The Hex Girls, a girl group fronted by Jane Wiedlen, late of the Go-Gos.

This is an item for fans, and Scooby-Doo has plenty of those. A lot more than I have, so I'm not about to knock the product. If you're a follower of the Cartoon Networks top dog, snag a copy. If you're looking for an album your younger kids might like that won't drive you absolutely nuts, this is a good choice as well.

Track List: Scooby-Doo, Where Are You? * Hex Girl * Earth, Wind, Fire And Air * The Witch's Ghost * It's A Mystery * Scooby Snacks * Zoinks! * Those Meddlin' Kids * Ghost Story * The Ghost Is Here * Terror Time * Scooby-Doo, Where Are You? (instrumental mix)
