Long Beach Blvd (Skunk)

Reviewed by Shaun Dale

Long Beach Blvd offers four cuts from each of five Long Beach based bands. It also offers proof positive that the SoCal town with a history of hard punk thrash has a present and future promise of hard punk thrash, too. The emphasis is on tough, uncompromising sounds, whether it's the sonic assault of Das Klown or the pointed pop messages of the Pivot Foots.

If your musical image of Long Beach is still confined to Sublime, you're probably pretty damned impress with the Long Beach sound. By the time you're through listening to this one, you'll be even more impressed.
