DAVID CHESKY
The Agnostic (Chesky Records)

This album has to be considered from at least three directions. First,
the score, by composer David Chesky, and performed by the Slovak
Philharmonic Orchestra in Bratislava, presents an epic panorama of
sound, both instrumentally and vocally. The vocals present the work of
David Chesky the thinker, since the libretto is a complex and thoughtful
work of existentialist philosophy, as much as musical lyric.
Finally, there's David Chesky the audiophile label executive, who has
pioneered the use of 96kHz/24-bit technology and produced some of the
finest jazz, classical and world music recordings in recent years. All
that technology and experience is brought to bear on the music and
message contained on this disc, meaning what you hear will be beautiful,
meaningful, and heard with the full dynamic range the composer/producer
intended.
It operates on several levels. It works on all of them. A marvellous
listening experience.
