Life Is Still Sweet (Orange)

Oooh baby, now this is the goods. Izzit just me or are side projects eclipsing efforts by the
big bands in question? Ditto goes here as Dave Varenka and Marcellus Hall slip out on their
Railroad Jerk commitments to slap down a giddy back porch folk pop country blues gumbo. Aided
by some primo trumpet and violin playing, not to mention turntable scratching, it's still a
guitar and harp and pots and pans album. You heard right fella, pots and pans. Who needs fancy
pants snares and cymbals and bass drums when the kitchen sink'll do. Primitive, too damn short
yet oh so soothing, Life is Still Sweet is the perfect tonic for yer late summer doldrums.
