These are really fun, retro-sounding pop songs with a bit of a loungey/beach party feel to them that remind me a lot of the stuff Blondie - especially in the delivery of the vocals - did back in the day, with a lot less of a disco beat. The music is incredibly catchy, irrepressibly happy and highly danceable - not usually the sort of stuff I like but this is the kind of music that really wins the sad side of me out. The instrumentation is simple and clean, strong on the bass guitar beat, bare percussion, and with an occasional trumpet solo that only adds to the wonderful goofiness of these recordings.
