AYTOBACH KREISOR
self-titled (Rubric Records)
Reviewed by Holly Day
Unfortunately, this album sounds just like it looks - the jacket's decorated
with pictures of greasy-looking guys rockin' out in front of a wall covered
with graffiti, as well as quasi-psychedelic photos of trees. The music's
just as "good" - monotonous metal riffs punctuated by predictable drumming,
bass solos, and lyrics about death and suicide and thinly-veiled references
to psychotropic drugs. Really pretty dull mellow sort of stuff, like some
of the music that came out at the tail end of the grunge movement when
everyone in the world had mastered the formula.
