The soundtrack has become a party mix tape of sorts. You'd never get away with mingling Kitty Wells, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Lucinda Williams together in one sitting, unless it was under the guise of providing accompaniment to Hollywood's big machine. The Williams piece "Can't Let Go" is an especially fetching piece of country blues. Nice rhythm and rootsy bites by Flash and the Ruins (guitarist legend Duke Levine's project) offer nice bridges, though there's the usual movie mood music to fast forward through.
