As simple guilty pleasures go you can't get much guiltier than peppy power pop punk versions of classic radio staples. A conglomerate supergroup of southern Cal punk lords, Me First and the Gimme Gimmes obviously have an affection for hooky jingles, and enjoy dissecting the likes of Lionel Ritchie and Prince with their trademark buzzsaw guitars and snarly vocals. Course, under the tongue in cheek facade is a dedicated lust for real cheese music, and this is obviously some form of therapy. Nevermind, cuz we, the listening public, are the winners. Easy tunes, easy listening, easy bucks. Good times all around.
