7 SECONDS
Good To Go (Side One Dummy)

You could probably list all the hardcore bands that have managed to hang
together since the Jimmy Carter administration in less than, well, seven
seconds. Let's see....there's 7 Seconds, and then there's....
Yep, well into their second decade of thrash, 7 Seconds have a new
label, a new album and the same old spirit. There have been lineup
changes over the years, with singer Kevin Seconds being the sole
founding member, but the band has been remarkably stable since the mid-
eighties. The sound has been, too. This is straight ahead, hard core
punk rock music. 7 Seconds hasn't changed direction much, they've just
moved further down the road, getting tighter and tougher along the way.
They haven't gotten stale, either, a fact which is proven by the
enthusiastic receptions they continue to get on youth oriented bills
like the Punk-O-Rama and Warped tours.
If you want to know what hard core used to sound like, 7 Seconds was
there and still is. If you want to know what hard core is going to
sound like, these guys are still pointing the way.
