GUNS 'N' ROSES
Lies (Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab

Reviewed by Shaun Dale

During the four year gap between Appetite For Destruction and the Use Your Illusion albums, Guns N' Roses turned over their four track indie EP and four new acoustic tracks to Geffen to create Lies. There was plenty of good music in the tracks, but the original live EP tracks were relatively crudely produced and the acoustic sides had an inevitable demo feel.

Remastered with the Mobile Fidelity Gain 2 system, many of the audio obstacles to full enjoyment of this collection are no longer considerations. Once mere filler in the GNR discography, this gold disc edition is a considerable improvement and may cause a reappraisal of the album's value. Of course, for hard core GNR fans, there's never been a question of that value, and there's no question that for those fans, this is the version to own.

Track List:

Reckless Life * Nice Boys * Move To The City * Mama Kin * Patience * Used To Love Her * You're Crazy * One In A Million
