JIMMY BOWSKILL
Old Soul (Indie)

Reviewed by John Sekerka

Boy oh boy that little Jimmy sure can play the blues, and sing some too. Trouble is he's all of twelve years old and has the classic girlie voice boys are saddled with before that puberty thing ravages the body. Could be next year we'll get a gravelly voiced "Jim" belting out the real stuff, but more likely we'll be stuck with another annoying kiddie prodigy on the blues bar circuit. Is there anything sadder than a pale white boy from Toronto donning a fedora and pretending to be Robert Johnson? For gawd's sake Jimmy make a career change before it's too late! I hear Jimi Hendrix impersonators are back in vogue again.
