People have sung Gordon Lightfoot songs forever, but this is the first compilation tribute to come down the pike. And fittingly, almost all artists reside on Canadian soil. Tragically Hip, Murray McLauchlan, Blue Rodeo, Bruce Cockburn, Ron Sexsmith, all take their swings, and as is usually the case, the results are a mixed bag that rarely add anything to the originals. Except for The Cowboy Junkies who deliver a spine chilling version of "The Way I Feel." One for the fans.
