Sharleen Spiteri has the rock goddess look down. All rough and ready and crumpled and sexy. Plenty of pics here to hammer the point home. Sharleen certainly is fetching in her docs and various tattered trousers - they call 'em trousers in Scotland. Especially the ones stitched from old Chuck Taylor All-Stars. Cool. Can ya tell I'm stalling? Ok, as much as it is a pleasure to look at Sharleen, it is another matter entirely listening to the new record. Past platters had their moments, when Spiteri was aping a fair Chrissie Hynde, but now Texas is veering into standard fluff pop territory. Perhaps they're following The Pretenders career a tad too closely, since that band is now quite unlistenable as well.
