BR549
Tangled In The Pines (Dualtone)
Reviewed by John Sekerka
Spinning their wheels after a superb debut splash, BR549 have struggled with their place in Nashville, but finally seem to have turned the corner. Following the rambling, honky tonk exploits of Hank Williams III, BR549 have flipped the formerly Grand Opry and delivered a true blue country record that speaks from the heart, not from the rhinestones. The boys have always had the chops, and though they can rip it up rockabilly style, tis country where they truly belong. It all starts right here.
