THE EVAPORATORS
Ripple Rock (NardWuar/Mint)
Reviewed by John Sekerka
NardWuar the Human Serviette (stay with me) is at it again: ripping rock anthems, stitching seventies style op art group costumes and accosting unsuspecting public figures under the guise of journalism. Sure to please and annoy everyone, NardWuar's circle of aural kitsch includes songs about cheese addiction and uh, er, shitting parties. And as a bonus, there are five punchy garage numbers by Thee Dublins (a dub version of an off-shoot band!). And as a double bonus, there are interviews with Snoop Doggy Dogg and Rahzel (quite funny, especially Snoop who gives NardWuar the business, Eddie Haskell style). And as a triple bonus, there's a mammoth gallery of Evaporators pictures as seen by your computing devices. And as a quadruple bonus there are video snippets of NardWuar accosting the likes of Jean Chretien, Dan Quayle and Mikhael Gorbachev. It's an endless Christmas bonus really. Thank you NardWuar. Thank you.
