MADCAP
Under Suspicion (Victory)
Reviewed by John Sekerka
Mohawks, skinny ties, band buttons on jacket lapels, converse hi-tops, straight legged black jeans - what year is this again? No matter, good old fashioned new wave punk, the kind where scraggly hair came naturally, without gel, just never goes out of style. Bringing back the shout along choruses, Madcap crank out the melodic pop punk in short glorious bursts like nobody since, uh, since Green Day. Round and round we go again.
