A throw back to the sixties, Otis Taylor is. Churning out records while the pen and guitar are mighty hot used to be the norm, but seems ridiculous in the day and age where not flooding the market is deemed more important than releasing meaningful music. Oh well. Taylor cranks out yet another fabulous ghost blues slab, jabbing at American injustices, telling haunting stories, and playing a sterling guitar. Incorporating various traditional musics in his strumming sermon, Taylor has locked on to a groove he ain't likely to release until it's well and truly out of his system. Good news for all concerned.
