David Klug has been a freelancer since 1998, after having first engaged with the music industry in 1996 as co-owner of Tar Hut Records (an indie label specializing in power pop and roots music). The first record Dave owned, a gift from his parents in the late 70s, was by Boz Scaggs. During the same era his first self-financed album purchase was Lynyrd Skynyrd's "Second Helping." In 1980 the heavens opened when Dave discovered Elvis Costello and the Attractions (through "Get Happy") and Graham Parker (through "Squeezing Out Sparks") within days of each other. His current love for music knows little bounds and he enjoys pop, rock, roots and country rock (including rockabilly, hillbilly, western swing, and Texas swing), folk rock, and dirty blues. Dave's spent most of his adult life working in the communications and computer industry of corporate America, and also has undergraduate and graduate degrees in forensic science. Contact him as necessary for crime scene and forensic lab examinations.
