His father's career as a traveling Bratwurst salesmen meant little money for
the Jones clan, but it did keep Sparky Lou traveling throughout Europe, where
he was able to "dance his ass off" on a nightly basis in the many discos of
Denmark, Switzerland, Norway and the UK.
After his third attempt at the 9th grade, his school counselors told him to
follow his dream... somewhere else. "Dance your ass off," they said, and
he's done so to this day. He may not know a marimba from a bongo, but he
knows what makes his feet move, and he's all too happy to tell you what does
it and what flubs it.
Sparky Lou gives away CDs no more. Now, at last, he takes his rightful place
as Sparky Lou: The Ass Dancin'...off'er...guy.
Long-time Cosmik readers remember him as Sparky Lou The Giveaway Guy, but
there's more to the man than the ability to pull names from a hopper. Sparky
can dance! Born to a couple who had won not one but TWO dance marathons in
the 50s, Sparky Lou Jesus Angel Luis Jones was destined for just one thing:
in his own words, "to dance my ass off!"
